Abstract
In this work, a novel approach to rapid and speckle-reduced hologram generation is presented as HoloTile. HoloTile utilizes an analytic approach for Gaussian beam shaping to modify the Point Spread Function (PSF) of the holographic system into flat-top squares, such as to prevent interference between adjacent random phase values in the reconstruction plane. The PSF shape is determined by the inter-spectral spacing in the reconstruction plane that occurs due to tiling on the spatial light modulator. As such, the final hologram is the product of a once-calculated PSF shaping phase hologram and the tiled object holograms. HoloTile achieves speckle-reduced reconstructions and extremely fast hologram generation, due to the resolution of the object holograms.
