Abstract

Holography is known mainly as a photographic technique with the capability of storage and three-dimensional optical reconstruction of objects using a laser as light source. This does not at all cover the full variety of applications of laser optical methods based on the holographic principle. There are numerous applications in the fields of image processing and metrology, which have attracted the interest of research groups to evaluate the potentials of these methods in biomedical research.Holography is known mainly as a photographic technique with the capability of storage and three-dimensional optical reconstruction of objects using a laser as light source.
