Introduction The HIV/AIDS pandemic is now more than two decades old and the direct evidence of its impact on mortality pattern of tuberculous meningitis (TBM) can be described using retrospective autopsy studies. Globally and in Sub-Saharan Africa, clinical and laboratory studies have shown the association between HIV/AIDS and tuberculosis (TB) [1,2].
