HISTORY OF LLP «SILICATE» - CONSTRUCTION AND INDUSTRIAL COMPANY OF THE EASTERN KAZAKHSTAN WORKING ON THE BASIS OF RARE DEPOSITS OF SAND

Abstract

The authors describe the main results of research of the history of establishment and development of the Semipalatinsk silicate products plant (now the LLP Silicate). The authors were able to figure out the historical reasons for creation of the Semipalatinsk-based brick plant on the basis of unique deposits of quartz sand in the vicinity of the relic forest, which stretches along the right bank of the Irtysh River for miles. Since 1958, the year of foundation of the plant, the company was substantially transformed in technological, social and personnel aspects. That allowed the company to significantly increase volume of production and improve the quality of produced output. High indices of the plant are largely owing to the high level of coherency and stability of personnel. It is no accident that more than forty family dynasties were formed and are working now.
