Abstract

The history of Habeeb al-Siar is a history book, and at the same time is the most important historical book written in Persian after the Mongol era. The author is Ghayath al-Din bin Hammam al-Din al-Husseini, known as Khawand Mir, one of the greatest historians, authors and writers of Iran in the tenth century AH, and began to write in 927 AH and completed in 930. The historical facts from the beginning of human history to the death of Shah Ismail al-Safawi, 930 AH . This book is in three volumes, each folder comprises four sections covering different periods of history, At the beginning of the book the introduction of the first creatures , The first volume is the history of pre-Islam, the emergence of Islam and the conditions of the Righteous Caliphs , And the second volume in the virtues of the imams of the pure and the rulers of the Umayyad and Abbasid Caliphs and classes of sultans who were contemporaries of the Umayyad and Abbasid ages , The third volume included the mention of sultans and rulers after the Abbasid caliphs, including the chains of the Mongols, the Timorese and others until the early era of Safavid and the days of the Shah Ismail until 930 AH . And for the importance of this historical encyclopedia, I thought that I translate the study, which was proven by Professor Jalaluddin Humaei as a preface to the book to acquaint those interested in historical studies with this important book .
