Abstract

When we talk about E-Learning, we have to talk about the process of learning in general which started when the ancient man started learning his children the skills of hunting and gathering fruit, beside his traditions. His ducational environment was his home at that time, neither teachers nor schools. The idea of Distance Learning or E-Learning is related to each other, and it was submitted by the French teacher in Berlin Jan Tosan and his friend Gustave, the member of Modern Linguistic Association in Berlin in 1856, as the first institution for language distance learning. Therefore, the Nineteenth Century is regarded as the real birth of E-Learning. It’s appearance before that was not Documented well. E-Learning is defined as learning via post, it helps learner who cannot attend to the educational institutions. Educational content had been gathered and sent to the learners via post through post offices which were separated at that time.
