Abstract

This article enlists Elizabeth Freeman’s Time Binds: Queer Temporalities, Queer Histories (2010) to read temporal dissidence and embodied pleasures in Benjamin Christensen’s Witchcraft Through the Ages through a queer studies lens, as temporal drag and erotohistoriography. This reading opens up a feminist-adjacent queering of Nordic auteur cinema.
