Abstract

This book is concerned with EU administrative law, which includes analysis of the main forms of administration through which policy is delivered, as well as the principles of judicial review. This is the rationale for the heading ‘Administration and Law’, which covers Chapters 1–8. The starting point in each chapter is to understand the particular form of EU administration, and appreciate the relevant political and legal issues. The chapters thereafter deal with ‘Law and Administration’, where the primary focus is on the principles of judicial review as they are applied to EU administration and national administration when it falls within the ambit of EU law.
