‘Historical’ cities and heuristics of ‘contemporary design’: reflections on recurrent aporias

Abstract

The contribution concerns recurrent aporias about the relations between ‘historical’ cities and ‘contemporary design’, with brief remarks and solution trends. It also highlights the role of the socio-cultural “scenarios” of architectural designs, such as “decision makers” about evaluation options of the latters in relation to the application contexts.
