Abstract
This article discusses the important role of the historical and cultural value of tourist sites for the development of domestic tourism in the region. The article points to the importance of historical and cultural value as a driving force of economic growth and stability. Special attention is paid to the economic, social and environmental benefits of cultural and historical tourism, through which it is possible not only to acquaint people with local culture and traditions, but also to preserve the infrastructure with a characteristic culture and cultural and historical tourism, and can also contribute to innovation and business diversification in the territory
