Abstract

The introduction of oncoplastic surgery in Spain is an example of effort and generosity originating from a group of surgeons who transmitted their knowledge and excited other surgeons to use these procedures and, in this way, improve the quality of life of their patients. The objective of this article is to show the challenges and difficulties of that moment and the values that allowed the dissemination of knowledge.
