Abstract

The purpose of this article is to find out and take appropriate action against the behavior or behavior that occurs to children. The method we use is descriptive qualitative, a method that makes observations of the object being studied or studied. This method uses reading books or references that can help us in this observation process. The results of this study include the history, understanding and theory of child development psychology. Developmental psychology is a science that studies the characteristics of individual behavior starting from the development of infancy, childhood, adolescence, adulthood, the aging process and ultimately covering the entire human age. Developmental psychology has existed since ancient Greece, where Plato was one of the experts. From Plato, John Locke, and Jean Jacques Rousseau it can be concluded that humans experience development through many factors, namely innate factors, education and experience, and the environment. Meanwhile, from the theories according to Sigmund Freud, Erik Erikson, Jean Piaget, John Bowlby, Albert Bandura, Lev Vygotsky, Lawrence Kohlberg, it can be concluded that child development can run normally and well by applying the above theories, namely by providing learning about psychosexual, psychosocial, moral learning, emotional learning, cognitive learning, interaction with the environment, etc.
