Abstract
Though much has been done on the effect of heavy metals in different animals, only a few references are available on the effects of rare earth metals particularly uranium. Workers have occasionally studied the toxicity of a few rare metals for the hepatic tissue. Other workers have observed the toxic effects of selenium and tellurium in different animals but the hepatic histopathological effects of uranium is almost untouched so far.
