Abstract

Abstract
The purpose of this study was to investigate the relationship between repeated halothane anesthesia and liver dysfunction in mice. Light microscopic histologic changes in the liver following several staining procedures were used as criteria of liver damage. Mild to moderate hepatic tissue changes, consisting mainly of centrilobular fatty infiltration and glycogen depletion, occurred in proportion to the repetition of halothane inhalation.
