Abstract
Excisional fetal wounds exposed to amniotic fluid do not contract as opposed to those not exposed. In adult rabbits, the effect of amniotic fluid on capsule formation around silicone rubber cubes was investigated. The results showed that a single dose injection of amniotic fluid can modify the fibrous capsule formation histologically in the adult animal.
