Abstract
History of the Palaeolithic settlement in North Africa and the interaction dynamics between man and his environment. North Africa is inhabited by many prehistoric cultures since a high Antiquity. Furthermore, several key sites permit to follow the morphological and cultural evolution of the fossil men. The glacial events that affected Europe during Pleistocene had only much attenuated effects over faunas and the human populations that settled in North Africa. The installation of the Sahara desert and its periodic extension was the phenomenon that influenced more the movements of faunas and men.
