Abstract

This study explores how linguistic, cultural, and social-economic factors have re-shaped ministry paradigms and practices in several churches across the United States that traditionally targeted foreign-born, Spanish-dominant Latinos, hut now also successfully target U.S.-born, English-dominant Latinos. Special attention is given to the contextually-appropriate approaches to evangelism, preaching, and worship in these multi-lingual and multi-generational Hispanic churches. The study concludes by identifying strategic implications for church leaders committed to Hispanic ministry in the United States.
