Abstract
This study intended to examine low back pain, balance ability and the level of muscle function by using several types of Hindfoot wedge. 23 adults in their 20-30s without low back pain, spine and lower limb musculoskeletal disorders, foot deformation, with 7 women of Right UHL(unilateral heel lift) as A group, 8 women of Left MHW (medial heel wedge) as B group, and 8 women of Right LHW(lateral heel wedge) as C group. As a clinically important evaluation method, balance test, EMG(Electromyogram) and ODI(Oswestry Disability Index). SPSS-PC Version 23.0 was used as statistical process, Two-way ANOVA with repeated measures was operated, and the difference among groups for one variable was verified with One-way ANOVA. Though there was no statistical difference among groups, it is considered that it can become an important base for clinical application, as the effectiveness of Rt-LHW (Right lateral heel wedge) among 3 of wedge groups showed high in average. Therefore, it is considered that, if they wear proper foot orthoses through diagnosis and evaluation, they can have effect not only in general low back pain problem but also in increase of exercise capacity and improvement of function for various physical activities such as sports, leisure.
