Abstract
This article concludes that Bezlaj’s rather critical review (1964) of Hildegard Striedter-Temps’ lexicographic volume Deutsche Lehnwörter im Slovenischen (German Loanwords in Slovenian, 1963) was excessive because this book has become an important reference work for all serious works that deal with German loanwords in Slovenian, including Bezlaj’s Etimološki slovar slovenskega jezika (Etymological Dictionary of Slovenian Language).
