Abstract

Combinatorial approaches to materials and catalysis research and development are increasingly used to speed up lead discovery and optimization [I]. An efficient high-throughput experiment (HTE) requires the complete combinatorial workflow, such as automated synthesis of catalyst libraries, means of characterization, technology for desired property screening and tailored software for control of experiments, data transfer and storage, and data analysis [2]. Such complete setups are presently only available in few industrial laboratories and the development of individual building blocks and their application is typical for the present research activities.
