Abstract

In this paper, a brand-new wideband bandstop filter with good frequency selectivity is proposed. The wideband bandstop response with five transmission zeros and high stopband rejection is implemented using the modified coupled-line sections. The transmission zeros and poles are derived based on even- and odd-mode analysis. For demonstration, a design prototype operating at 2 GHz with 79.5% relative bandwidth of 35-dB stopband rejection is simulated, fabricated, and measured. Good agreements between simulated and measured results can be observed.
