Abstract

The phonon frequencies and the acoustic wave speeds in [100], [110], and [111] directions for the zinc-blende Al1−xInxN alloys have been determined. The mechanical properties of the alloys under investigation were calculated. The pressure dependence of acoustic velocities, phonon frequencies, and mechanical properties of Al1−xInxN alloys has been studied. Our findings for the phonon frequencies, mechanical properties, and acoustic wave speed are in good accordance. The phonon frequencies and the acoustic wave velocity for the Al1−xInxN system under the effect of pressure have not been fully studied. Therefore, we have concentrated on these properties under the influence of pressure.
