Abstract

A high-power laser system using a neodymium phosphate glass is described. It has an energy ∼400 J, a pulse length of 15 ns, and an output aperture of 100 mm. A computer control system allows total remote control. This system makes it possible to monitor the parameters of the laser system, to synchronize its operation with external devices, and to measure and process data from several sensors of various types.
