Abstract
>400W CW operation of a diode edge-pumped, composite all-ceramic Yb:YAG microchip (3mm- diameter core with a 200μm thickness) laser was successfully demonstrated. The M <sup xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2</sup> factor less than 7 up to 200 W CW was obtained.
