Abstract

Abstract Highly stable Al-MCM-48 with zeolitic secondary building units (SBU) and varied SiO2/Al2O3 were synthesized by direct hydrothermal methods using tetraethylammonium hydroxide (TEAOH) as the SBU promoting agent. Porosity characterization by hyperpolarized (HP) 129Xe NMR spectroscopy revealed the existence of two distinct types of pore system with unique micro- and mesostructures.
