Abstract

A novel 7-fold interpenetration diamondoid network neutral coordination polymer [Mn(NCP)2]n (HNCP = 2-(4-carboxyphenyl)imidazo(4,5-f)(1,10)phenanthroline), synthesized by the hydrothermal reaction between MnSO4 and a new designed multifunctional ligand HNCP, displays a second harmonic generation efficiency that is approximately three times as much as that of potassium dihydrogen phosphate (KDP), weak antiferromagnetic character, and strong fluorescence emission with λmax at 588 nm as well as high thermal stability (up to ca. 490 °C).
