Abstract

Catalytic activities of nanomaterials based on tin dioxide with various palladium contents in the oxidation of CH4 and sensitivities of adsorption semiconductor sensors to methane based on them were studied. It was shown that responses of the sensors to methane are determined by the catalytic activites of the materials of their gas sensitive layers in the oxidation of CH4 by oxygen chemisorbed on active sites localized at the Pd–SnO2 interface.
