Abstract

Electrochemical properties of membranes based on macrocyclic compounds containing two sulfur atoms in a polyether ring were studied. The use of these compounds as ionophores of membranes of ion-selective electrodes (ISEs) reversible with respect to mercury(II) was examined. The ISEs developed were used for the determination of mercury in samples of fish and soil.
