Abstract

Typical difficulties in the optical monitoring of photoreactions taking place at semiconductor surfaces are as follows: small optical density changes at flat surfaces and large light scattering in opaque particulate systems. In order to overcome these difficulties, the authors introduced optical waveguides (OWG's) and carried out flash photolysis measurements on OWG systems for the first time.
