Abstract

An immunoliposome encapsulating a Ru complex with two aminopropyl moieties was prepared to rapidly detect the hemagglutinin (HA) protein of influenza virus. Under optimal conditions, the electrochemiluminescence method using the liposome gave a calibration curve that enabled to detect 3 x 10-13 g/mL of the HA. Alternatively, the method using Ru complex-labeled antibody can detect 1 x 10-8 ng/mL HA and the sensitivity was far lower than that of the above method.
