Abstract

In this paper, low voltage low power highly linear operational transconductance amplifier (OTA) using source-degeneration technique is presented. Source-degeneration techniques improve the bias current of the input differential pair when large signals are applied, thus, increasing circuit dynamic characteristics without affecting stand-by dissipation. The OTA is designed to operate with a ±0.55V supply voltage and consumes 0.5mW power. All simulations are performed by ELDO technology CMOS TSMC 90nm. The simulation results of this circuit showed a high DC gain of 42.58dB with a large bandwidth of 244MHz. Based on this circuit, a voltage mode universal filter has been implemented. The simulation results are in a good agreement with the theoretical calculations.
