Zwei Rhodium(II)-Zentren arbeiten zusammen: [Rh2(S-tbpttl)4] katalysiert die Titelreaktion außerordentlich effektiv (siehe Schema). Die Cyclopropenierung ist gegenüber der Alkenbildung durch 1,2-Hydridverschiebung bevorzugt.
