Highly Efficient Synthesis of N‐Alkyl‐α‐amino Acid Methyl Esters by Microwave Irradiation

Abstract

AbstractIn this report at first we prepared N‐nosyl‐α‐amino acid methyl esters from α‐amino acids in a simple method, with short reaction times and good yields. Then, N‐nosyl‐α‐amino acid methyl esters were N‐alkylated using alkyl tosylates under microwave irradiation to produce N‐alkyl‐N‐nosyl‐α‐amino acid methyl esters in convenient times and with good yields. At the end, efficient and convenient deprotection of o‐nitrobenzenesulfonyl group with use of HSCH2CH2OH/K2CO3 was done to produced N‐alkyl‐α‐amino acid methyl esters.
