Abstract
New star-shaped cholic acid derivatives with different functional groups have been synthesized by the use of Cu I -catalyzed [2+3] cyclization (click chemistry) and Curtius rearrangement of acyl azide intermediate in good yields. We have also studied the -solution properties of these star-shaped amphiphilic compounds as host molecules to interact with nonpolar guest molecules by the use of fluorescent probes.
