Abstract

This report describes a new strategy for the formation of a cross-linked conducting polymer exhibiting enhanced mechanical properties. The approach is demonstrated with poly(anilineboronic acid) which self-cross-links to produce an extremely hard polymer that maintains its electrical conductivity. This strategy offers a completely new approach that may be used to enhance the physical properties of conducting polymers without other modifications.
