Abstract

Abstract In the study, highly conductive and fine patterns of silver nanowires have been fabricated by the coffee-ring effect. By the evaporation of solvent, the wet coating line was changed into two dry, parallel, and narrow lines, which promoted the precision of coating. The effect of process temperature and surfactant concentration on the quality of the pattern was investigated. The optimal pattern was prepared with 0.04-wt% sodium dodecyl sulfate at 60 °C. Compared with the conductive lines of silver nanoparticles, the lines of silver nanowires possess superior conductivity due to the rapid electron transfer in axial direction. We proposed a wind-assisted method to further improve the quality of the conductive patterns. The optimal resistivity can reduce to 4.8 × 10−7 Ω·m, and 99.25% silver nanowires are contributed to the conductive lines. The short circuit between the two parallel conductive lines can be negligible.
