Abstract

Fourteen-year final report of the randomized PDRG-UK trial comparing three initial treatments in PD ![][1] This large, randomized, controlled trial compared initial treatments in Parkinson disease. Compared to initial treatment with l-dopa, initial bromocriptine led to less motor improvement during the first years of treatment without conferring long-term advantages with respect to mortality, disability, motor complications, or quality of life.
