Highlights From MTT-S Administrative Committee Meeting AM2 and 2021/2022 Initiatives [President’s Column

Abstract

The second meeting in 2021 of the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) Administrative Committee (AdCom) is now known as <italic xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">2021 AM2</i> (for AdCom Meeting Two). It took place virtually over the course of three days: 5 June, 6 June, and 24 July. AM2 was recessed on 6 June and reconvened on 24 July mainly so that the 2022 MTT-S budget could be considered and approved by the AdCom. This year IEEE provided a first-view 2022 MTT-S budget as a first cut for each Society/Council (S/C) on 21 July. The MTT-S AdCom was in a position on 24 July to approve the 2022 MTT-S budget closer to final form by having this input from IEEE prior to approving the 2022 MTT-S budget.
