Abstract

Each year, IEEE Microwave Magazine</i> highlights two conferences: 1) the IEEE Microwave Theory and Techniques Society (MTT-S) flagship conference the International Microwave Symposium in the April or May issue and 2) the Radio & Wireless Week (RWW) series of conferences in the December issue. We are pleased once again this month to highlight RWW 2022 and present a series of technical feature articles that covers the breadth of RWW as well as columns outlining the various activities occurring during the week. The RWW 2022 Steering Committee has been working diligently over the last year putting together a conference that everyone is hoping will have a significant in-person presence in the host city of Las Vegas, Nevada. Ken Kolodziej, the guest editor for this issue, introduces the features and columns in his “From the Guest Editor’s Desk” column, which is an excellent starting point of the issue. I wish to thank Ken for his efforts in working with the authors of the technical features and columns; I think this mix of articles is quite representative of all that RWW has to offer. Whether you attend in person (and we hope that relaxed travel restrictions allow you to do so) or remotely, I am sure you will find the conference stimulating and a good opportunity to interact with your colleagues and see the latest work from researchers around the world.
