Abstract
Two-level voltage source inverters(VSIs) modulated by pulse width modulation(PWM) generates multiples of carrier harmonics, which excites high-frequency noise from the motor. And twice carrier frequency harmonics from dual-branch three-phase permanent magnet synchronous motor(PMSM) occupies large proportion. Based on special dual-branch three-phase PMSM, the twice carrier frequency vibration and acoustic noise can be eliminated theoretically with carrier phase-shift <tex xmlns:mml="http://www.w3.org/1998/Math/MathML" xmlns:xlink="http://www.w3.org/1999/xlink">$0.5\pi$</tex> . Compared traditional interleaving topologies, the proposed method takes advantage of the specialty of the dual-branch three-phase PMSM and thus utilizes fewer VSIs. Then, noise elimination principle has been elaborated. Finally, the effectiveness of the proposed method has been confirmed by detailed experimental results.
