Abstract

We have studied low-energy Compton scattering on targets of arbitrary spin. A new method to derive low-energy theorems is described. This method is a generalization of Low's method and it is manifestly Lorentz invariant. The scattering amplitudes are given explicitly in terms of the multipole moments and the structure-dependent constants up to the fourth order in photon energy.
