Abstract
The available experimental data on spectrum shape, β-γ directional correlation, β-γ (circular polarization) correlation, and ⨍t- value for isospin-hindered allowed positon decay of 56Co has been utilized to deduce higher-order matrix elements. Finite nuclear size, screening, and finite de Broglie wavelength effects have been taken into account. The values 0.024, 0.018 and 0.0032 have been found for matrix element ratios M( iγ 5 r )/ M( σ ), − C v M( α × r )/ C A M( σ ), and M( σ · r ) r )/ M( σ) respectively. A new value for M F: 0.00058 ± 0.00013 (quoted in natural units), taking into account higher-order corrections, is obtained.
