Abstract

The boundary layer equations are the zeroth−order solutions to the BGK equation when the Chapman−Enskog procedure is coupled with the Prandtl analysis. The first− and second−order asymptotic solutions are obtained. They are higher−order corrections to the usual boundary layer equations.
