Abstract

In plasmas produced by irradiating an intense ultra‐short pulse laser on a solid target, the intense laser radiation directly interacts with a dense plasma. In such a case, the plasma screening effects are important for the response to the laser field. For such plasmas, the dynamical form factor of plasma electron and ion is derived. By using the dynamical form factor, the electron density fluctuation around an ion and the vector potential are obtained. As the results, the high‐order harmonic generation in dense plasmas irradiated by an intense laser field is investigated.
