Abstract

For scattering off singular repulsive potentials at high energy, the large-angle scattering is shown to be classical. For nonrelativistic singular potentials of the form V(r) = gr-n (g > 0, n > 2), we give the explicit form of the differential cross section for large angles at high energy as a power series in (π - θ). The coefficients of the linear through cubic terms in (π - θ) are obtained.
