Abstract

In the paper, a high-efficiency rectifier with wide range of input power is proposed. The rectifier is composed of a coupler with reconfigurable coupling, T-type matching networks and two sub-rectifiers used for lower and higher input power, respectively. By changing the coupling of the coupler to 0 dB and $+\infty$ dB, the two sub-rectifiers can be driven sequentially, resulting in maintaining high efficiency in a wide input power range. Working principles of the proposed rectifier is introduced. For validation, a single-band prototype is designed, fabricated and measured. The measured results demonstrate that from - 2 dBm to 28 dBm, a conversion efficiency of more than 50% is achieved, with a maximum conversion efficiency of 74%.
