Abstract

Detailed rate constants of the H + H/sub 2/ (nu < 10) reaction have been calculated at T = 4000 K with the aim of investigating the influence of the vibrational excitation of the reactant molecule on the high-temperature efficiency of the different concurrent processes of the H + H/sub 2/ reaction. By comparison with rate constants calculated at T = 300 K the temperature dependence of these rate constants has also been estimated.
