Abstract

The fretting wear behavior of IN738LC alloy formed by laser powder bed fusion at 850 ℃ with various load (35 N and 100 N) were systematically studied. The results demonstrate that increases the load, leading the fretting wear mode gradually transitions from the gross slip region (GSR) to the mixed slip region (MSR). Judging with the radar map drawn by experimental data, the high-temperature comprehensive performances of fretting wear for supersolvus heat-treated sample improved significantly. The analysis of fretting wear cross-section microstructure indicates that the thermoplastic deformation of L-PBFed IN738LC alloy occurs under the interaction of different normal loading and force of tangential friction, which results in the accumulation of strong dislocation densities and diverse deformed tissue in damage zone.
