Abstract

ABSTRACTIn this investigation, an adapted model was developed to predict the dynamic recrystallisation (DRX) flow stress curves of brass Cu–28%Zn, produced via the press-and-sinter route with a nonlinear approximation of the strain hardening rate vs. strain up to the critical stress, using a constitutive equation and Avrami description of DRX. The investigated temperature range was 550–850°C. In this research, according to the microstructure change up to critical point, a separate model was used and after that point a constitutive model considers DRX was presented. This model is used for predicting untested temperatures in order to be utilised in deformation simulation. To evaluate the compound model precision, the mean error was measured. The results demonstrated that the suggested model is in good agreement with experimental results.
