Abstract

Within the homogeneity region of SnS the variation of sulphur pressure with variation of sulphur content has been measured at the equilibrium temperature by chemical means. The results, together with values already known are compared with some models of atomic disorder. From this discussion it follows that the doubly negatively charged tin vacancy is probably the prevailing imperfection in equilibrium.
